Online poetry workshop with Glyn Maxwell

Award-winning poet and playwright Glyn Maxwell is running an online poetry workshop this week for the Guardian. 

To celebrate national poetry day on the 8^th October (heroes and heroines this year), he's inviting you to praise someone in verse - "Praise someone. Praise someone living or dead. Convince me that someone is your hero, your heroine. Convince me that your poem is necessary, that your admiration of - joy in - love for - this person demands that you ruffle the surface, break the silence, mark the time." 

Poems must be submitted before midnight on Sunday 27 September, so find your muse and render them magnificent.
