FiftyFiction - short and sweet!

A character in Matieu Kassovitz's film Le Fabuleux Déstin d'Amélie Poulain encourages his on-screen companion (and, we assume, the audience) to 'change the world one random act of kindness at a time.' This gooey sentiment may bring about an entirely different urge in some viewers, but for all who balked, there is now a chance to change the world, one random act of writing at a time.

The wonderful editor at FiftyFiction has inaugurated a competition which asks people to send in photographs of stories that they've written on anything that was to hand. From haiku on cigarette packets to novellas on supermarket receipts this ingenious contest showcases the late-at-night-writing, the first-thing-in-the-morning-writing and, most importantly of all, that 50-word-stroke-of-genius-writing.

Go on, put the world to writes.
