Diane Kruger set to star in Stephenie Meyer's The Host
German actor in talks to join cast of forthcoming science-fiction film based on novel by Twilight author
Diane Kruger is set to join the cast of science-fiction film The Host, based on the novel by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, which posits a world where aliens have taken over human bodies. Kruger, best known for her role in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, would play a villain named The Seeker, according to Deadline. The film is being directed by Andrew Niccol of Gattaca and In Time renown, and will star Saoirse Ronan in the dual role of a young rebel soldier, Mel Stryder, and an extraterrestrial named The Wanderer who has taken over her physical form.
